There are so many ways you can help us help Kenya... these are some, but we welcome others!
Stay informed and pass the word.
To sign up for the AFK Newsletter, The Rafiki News, please email request to:
Donate books, lap top computers, and school supplies.
Ask your local schools, libraries or businesses for donations or do a "drive" at your church or school. If you make a connection, please let us know. There are some limitations on what we can use, package, and transport. Click Here for information about in kind donations...
Donate medical supplies and equipment.
Ask community medical professionals, hospitals and suppliers for donations. We can use almost anything from gloves and first aid kits to EKG machines. Assistive devices for visually and physically disabled are in demand. We are particularly in need of wheel chairs, walkers, crutches and canes.
We need volunteers to help pick up, transport, and pack books, medical supplies, and other items. In addition, we are grateful for assistance with mailings and other clerical tasks.
Although we recieve many donated goods and services, money is our lifeblood and we need a steady flow of funds to fulfill our mission. Monetary donations of any amount are greatly appreciated! Donations are accepted by mail or on-line with a credit card. Our greatest need is acquiring the funds to send our yearly shipment to Kenya. A 40foot container sent from the U.S. to our partners in different parts of Kenya costs about $16,000 USD. Click Here to Make a Donation
Organize or participate in fundraising activities.
We organize a series of fundraising activities, including tag sales, walkathons, concerts and special events. If you would like to assist or organize your own fundraising project, please let us hear from you.
Support our orphans.
Support our cause to help the HIV orphans and street children. You can help us by donating to an "Unrestricted Fund" or by Sponsoring a child. Click Here for more information on this program...
We sponsor trips to Kenya that combine work and pleasure. Currently, teams of medical practitioners, librarians, educators, and agricultural professionals have specific roles, but anyone can participate. We are always looking for people with different kinds of expertise. If you are interested, let us know or click here for more information on our trips.
We welcome new ideas and different ways to achieve our goals.
